The top Tier of the Qantas scheme, you obtain Platinum after reaching 1400 status credits.
You have all  the benefits of Gold plus the following additional benefits:

First Lounge

Available in Sydney and Melbourne. Designed by Qantas Creative Director Marc Newson, the Lounges offer a range of facilities including a day spa, restaurant, library, private work suites and concierge service. When visiting a First Lounge you may bring one guest, who must also be travelling.

Domestic Business Lounges

Available in Sydney T3, Melbourne, Brisbane and Canberra. When visiting a Domestic Business Lounge you may bring two guests. Guests do not need to be travelling.

Complimentary membership of The Qantas Club and other lounge access privileges

Relax or catch up on work in any Qantas Club, International First or Domestic Business Lounge when travelling on Qantas, Jetstar Airlines or oneworld alliance airline flight. Plus access associated lounges when flying Qantas or access oneworld airline lounges around the world when flying on a oneworld alliance airline.

If you have not already nominated complimentary Gold membership for your partner, when you reach 2,400 Status credits^^ in one membership year, you have the choice of one of the following rewards

  • complimentary Gold membership for a family member or friend or
  • three complimentary Qantas Valet Parking or Chauffeured Transfer invitations++ or

Priority telephone service

Access priority telephone service in Australia, plus in many countries around the world, you can access Qantas Telephone Sales in Australia 24 hours using Freephone numbers. Find the number for Australia on the back of your Qantas card and your exclusive international priority numbers are listed in your Platinum privileges brochure.

A better International upgrade experience

Platinum members will have their successful International upgrade requests confirmed where possible from up to 48 hours prior to departure which is earlier than Gold, Silver and Bronze Frequent Flyers. Successful upgrades may be confirmed via SMS#.

Complimentary Advance Seat Selection with preferential seating

You can select your seat* from reserved zones within your booked cabin according to your Frequent Flyer status. Advance Seat Selection is at all times subject to availability of requested seats.
Seat selection is complimentary on Qantas operated domestic flights (excluding Qantas Link) and for Platinum Frequent Flyers on Qantas operated international flights, with a QF flight number on your ticket.

Preferred seating

When you make a booking in Premium Economy, Business or First, your seat will be allocated at the time of booking based on your seat preference in your Qantas Frequent Flyer profile. You can make changes to your seat using Advance Seat Selection.
If you make a booking in Economy, your seat preference will be allocated at the time of Check-in from remaining available seats unless you have already selected a seat using Advance Seat Selection or purchased an Exit Row Seat.

Priority Economy seat purchase for up to two, including yourself

Priority Economy seat purchase is available when holding or purchasing a Full Economy ticket for up to two people, including the Platinum member. It is available on any Qantas operated flight with a Qantas flight number (excluding non-jet QantasLink services) for bookings made before midday on the day before travel^.

Preferential access to selected Qantas Classic Award seats

Qantas provides preferential access, when available, to selected Qantas Classic Award seats to Silver, Gold and Platinum Frequent Flyers. On selected flights, preferential access for Gold and Platinum members may be above the access available to Silver and Bronze members.
